Swarm of Bees

OUR STORY

The Penateka were the southernmost band of Comanche Indians in Texas, and their name, "Penateka," loosely translates to "honey eater," reflecting their deep connection to nature and the sweetness of life.

In 2025, two teachers, driven by a shared passion for farm-to-table eating, founded a company named after this historic group. In their spare time, they immersed themselves in the art of apiculture, learning the craft of beekeeping. Their goal was to create a sustainable and flavorful approach to eating while paying homage to the land and culture that inspired their journey.

MEET THE PENATEKA TEAM

Our team is made up of teachers, sculptors, and woodshop enthusiasts—diverse individuals bound by a love for learning and a deep connection to family. Each member brings a unique set of skills and a shared appreciation for the outdoors. Whether it's shaping wood into art, teaching in the classroom, or simply enjoying nature, we are a group of passionate individuals who believe in the power of creativity, hands-on experiences, and the importance of growth, both personally and professionally. Family values are at the heart of everything we do, and our love for learning drives us to keep exploring, creating, and evolving.
